All About Sophie

My name is Sophie Prowting and I’ve been running Alfie’s Dog Grooming since I founded it in March 2014.

My love for dogs developed in my early childhood and I have wanted to work with them ever since.

Following my secondary school education, I attended college, where I gained a First Diploma in Animal Care, A National Certificate in Animal Management, a Level One Dog Grooming Assistant Qualification and a Level Two Dog Grooming Stylist Qualification.

My salon is named after my own Lhasa Apso, Alfie. Alfie was bred by a very good friend and fellow dog groomer, who I worked alongside with for 2 years.

I am also a distributor of Forever Living Products and all of the products I use on the dogs I groom have been certified as safe to use on animals.

All their products are Aloe Vera based; they are very gentle and have strong natural healing properties.

I will always do my best to meet your dog grooming requirements, whatever the breed and whatever the season.

Your dog will always be given the very best treatment and care, as I believe that grooming is an important aspect of a dog’s welfare.
